full name: James Alexander Sullivan[/blockquote]
nicknames: James, Sullivan
age: 28
birthday: August 6th
sexual orientation: hetero
occupation: Singer
living arrangement: Lives in a nice two story two bedroom apartment in downtown LA

appearance: James has short dark brown hair that basically does whatever it wants. Once in awhile he’ll actually try to do something with it, but in the long run he gives up deciding his hair has a mind of his own. His eyes are a light green color that sometimes looks blue, but it depends on his mood what color his eyes will be for the day. His eyes are basically a window to his feelings, because all one has to do to see his mood is to look into his eyes.
style:A true Rocker at heart, he doesn't really care about his clothing style. He’ll mostly wear jeans, sneakers, sweaters and t-shirts because that's how he feels comfortable. And comfort is a key factor in his life. For the occasion that requires some "classy" style he does put a tie and a shirt on but try to make him wear nice shoes it's a long, hard battle full of arguments.
play by: Adam Levine

general personality: James to most, who first meet him, comes off as somewhat cocky - though this is actually a front to keep people at an arms distance. He in fact is a sensitive soul once you get to know him. He’s faithful and somewhat compassionate to his friends. Though he’s not shy, he’ll sometimes act like it to throw people off. Not wanting to get hurt like he has been in the past, it takes a long time for him to trust strangers. He hates to betray or to be betrayed and when he makes a promise he keeps it not matter what. His major default would be that he doesn't forgive or forget easily. But you have to do something pretty scummy to get him to that point.

history: James is the oldest of 5 children, all boys, the only woman in the house being their mother Ann. He always felt closer to her than to his father and she is the one who gave him this love for music. Whenever she was at home, she was putting music on to bring life into the house but also to calm down her children. While James enjoyed listening to it and singing, his brothers preferred to go around the house and to play Cowboys and Indians. At about 6 he started to take piano lessons, probably like most children of his age, but he never liked it much as those classes were more a pain in the butt for him than anything else, but he was pretty good at it, and was learning to read music.
Years passed and James spent his time between school, the piano and starting a big collection of CD’s. For Christmas, when he was 12 years old, he received his best present ever, his first guitar. It was one of his only gifts that year but James didn't care! He’d always loved guitars, spending hours upon watching people play them or going through the music stores of his hometown dreaming of owning one. Only a couple of minutes after getting it, he was already working hard at learning how to play it. Since that day, he’s never put it down. It was at the same time that he started to write his own songs, they might not have been the best, but for a boy of his age they were pretty good. Though he was working hard at school he his mind set to become a musician and not an unknown one but a very good and famous one like Jimmy Hendrix.
Being the oldest wasn't easy, he had to show his little brothers the right way, how to do things and that school was important. If he failed a test or got a bad grade his father would punish him rather severely to show that he wasn't kidding about education. But when James said that he wanted to become a rock star, his father just laughed telling him that he should stop dreaming and start to focus on school and think about college. James knew that in a way he had no choice but he wasn't going to give up his dream to satisfy his father's.
High School ended and James joined a local university, a couple of miles from home. And though he was doing well in school, he didn't feel that this life was taking him anywhere. When the first semester ended he just quite and packed everything he had: he was going to L.A to become what he really wanted and not what his father wanted.
When he arrived he realized that it wasn't to be as easy as he thought and he knew that standing in front of Management buildings and sending tapes to various producers everyday wasn't the best way. So he got himself a job and started to play in bars. That’s how he met Brock Lefabre, his future band mate. They quickly realized that they had the same goals and started to play together, but something was still missing. They didn’t want to advertise for another band member, they felt they would find it simply and naturally and they did when they met Marti. They both knew she was the missing thing in their "band" and everything now could start.
James felt that his life was really starting and that he was going to make his dream come true soon plus his friendship with his band mates was basically perfect. But it didn't last like every good thing: Brock left to have his own career. He was hurt, probably less than Marti but he couldn't believe it, that Brock could be so selfish.
He made himself a promise he would get revenge by making sure that L’anima made it big. He didn't want to give up L'anima, he wanted to continue what they had started, though they had one less band member. Besides taking care of himself, he now felt as though he had to take care of Marti. She had pretty hurt and depressed after the departure of Brock, and now he felt that he had to protect her against all guys.
Slowly things were starting to get back to normal. Marti and James had decided that they still wanted to try and keep L’anima going (despite the fact that they no longer had a drummer). And more importantly to James, he felt as though Marti was beginning to open up to him again. And though he knew deep down it probably wasn’t a good idea, he let Marti know that he cared for her and wanted something more than friendship. Around the same time JS Productions approached them offering them a record contract. At first they weren’t sure if it was something they wanted to do – since JS Productions had actually only wanted to sign Marti, but despite James telling her to go for it, Marti wasn’t going to do it without James by her side and eventually both sides worked things out and L’anima was signed to JSP.
Slowly their fame began to grow, and even though he was dating Marti, James was hanging out more and more with his former co-work Beth Barker and finding himself more and more attracted to her. One thing led to another and before James even knew it he had two girlfriends – neither who knew about the other. Though he knew he was in the wrong, he couldn’t decide who he wanted to be with more and kept going back and forth between the two women. Finally his conscience got the best of him and he finally told Beth what he’d been up to and somehow managed to get her to forgive him. He broke it off with Marti but never told her about how he’d been with Beth too.
Shortly after that, Marti surprised him by telling him that she was back with Brock AND going to marry him. James honestly didn’t know what to think about it. On one hand he didn’t want to see her hurt again but on the other he could see how happy she was. Even though he was pleased with her decision he decided to support her; besides he still felt guilty about the whole double dating incident that she still didn’t know about.
Over the next couple of months, James found his time taken up more and more by the band. Touring, TV Appearances and interviews – it was all honestly beginning to get on his nerves; more so because Marti seemed to be the only one in the spotlight. He wasn’t getting to spend a lot of time with Beth and that was putting a lot of pressure on their relationship.
Finally he had enough and though he still cared for Marti he quit the band to pursue his own career. Unfortunately, he and Beth got into a fight after she found out about his decision after Marti confronted her at her store. Beth broke it off with James, and now he’s just trying to do his own thing – and thinking of ways to get back into Beth’s good graces.
