appearance: A head-turner when he enters a room, Xander stands just under six feet tall, has thick black hair and stunning dark blue eyes—which are enhanced by his dark Mediterranean complexion—and a smile that has a knee-weakening effect on women. Thanks to his regular sessions in his private gym, as well as his daily laps around the pool in his backyard, his body is firm, toned and tight, however not bulky and muscular.
style:Xander most often dons expensive, tailored suits, though will on occasion dress down in a pair of blue jeans and a button-up shirt. general personality: There are many ways one can describe Xander. A gentleman, a charmer, a self-serving playboy, and a cunning business man can all be used to describe him. He carries himself with so much confidence and poise that it's almost impossible not to be dazzled by him. Never one to play by anyone's rules but his own, he sees life as a game that he intends to win.
Xander becomes bored with things fairly easily and finds great enjoyment in manipulation and games. He has a quick and formidable temper, and when he wants revenge, he takes his time plotting in great detail the most cruel and sadistic way to get it. He doesn't care who he hurts, or how he hurts them as long as his goals are reached. He likes things to be his way and while it amuses him to see others trying to assert themselves, he's quick to get the better of them with carefully chosen words.
He has little respect for women, thinking they have little to offer him besides being a warm body in his bed. His raw sex appeal attracts many women to him, though to share his bed there must be something in there for him to gain - be in personal pleasure or some ulterior motive. It's rare that a woman will impress him, though there have been a few. Those few have been exceptionally strong women who don't seem to immediately fall for his charms - though, he sees them as a challenge he has yet to best.

history: Xander was a disappointment to his grandfather, Aristotle Paradis, from birth. The bastard son of Aristotle’s only daughter, Andromeda, Xander—along with his mother—was immediately disinherited and sent away from the rest of his wealthy and aristocratic family. He grew up in a small estate in Casablanca, Morocco, away from the Franco-Greek Paradis family.
For the first ten years of his life, Xander was the unmentionable member of the Paradis family. Seen as little more than an unfortunate consequence by his grandfather, he was condemned to live his live unrecognized and unloved by anyone in the family, outside of his own mother.
When he was ten years old, Xander’s fortunes changed drastically. It was at that time that it was discovered that Xander’s cousin—Aristotle’s only other grandson—Leo had a learning disability. Following the diagnosis, the judgmental Aristotle discarded his younger grandson as “defective.” With all of his own sons dead and blaming his daughters-in-law for producing only granddaughters (or “unacceptable grandsons” in Leonidas’ case), Aristotle re-examined his attitude toward his only daughter’s son.
Against his mother’s wishes, Xander was taken away from Morocco and brought to live with his grandfather so he could be properly trained for his role as Aristotle’s heir. Andromeda, however, was left in Morocco to fulfill her “punishment” for disgracing her family by having a child out of wedlock.
Xander quickly became accustomed to the lifestyle of the rich and famous. The first few years with his grandfather saw him transform from an innocent ten-year old into spoiled brat. Although his tutors called him a good student, Xander spent much of his free-time playing and enjoying the privileges of life as a Paradis. In his teen years, Xander became the talk of European society pages for his blatant philandering and was quickly labeled a “playboy.” As one of the most eligible bachelors in Europe (especially in France and Greece, where his family has ancestral roots), Xander regularly began to be seen with a different woman on his arm each week. Xander’s antics—which by his twenties had become indiscreet and the talk of the tabloids—soon began to embarrass his grandfather and commonly made Xander the target of Aristotle’s wrath.
Xander, knowing Aristotle would never replace him with his “idiot” cousin, rebelliously continued to defy his grandfather. However, Xander’s fortunes changed once again when he was 23 with the arrival of a new intern to Paradis Enterprises, Jared Lefabre.
Jared’s dedication, focus and hard-work quickly drew high-praise from Aristotle. As his grandfather showered more and more attention on Jared, Xander’s loathing for Lefabre intensified. He made several half-hearted attempts to improve Aristotle’s opinion of him by attempting to prove to his grandfather that he could be just as driven and focused as Jared.
Livid that he was being replaced by Jared, Xander finally got his chance for revenge, and to elevate himself in the eyes of his grandfather, when Jared’s affair with Xander’s cousin Cassandra was revealed. Seizing the opportunity, Xander set off on a crusade to punish his rival and rapidly transformed his personal vendetta against Lefabre into a family feud.
Xander’s campaign was put on hold following the death of Louis Lefabre and Jared’s elevation to the inner circle of the Sanctum—a secret society to which both the Lefabre and Paradis families belonged. Unable to neither exact his revenge openly nor gain custody of Jared and Cassandra’s children for his grandfather without angering the other seven members of the inner circle, Xander began to seek his quest covertly.
After forming an alliance with Brandi, Jared’s sister, Xander manipulated his rival into attacking and alienating his own family and, with Brandi’s help, ignited a war between Jared and Yan Tsung. When Jared was injured during the fighting and taken to a Sanctum-run hospital in Paris, Xander gained access to his rival and—utilizing texts from the Sanctum’s archives—performed a ritual that brought Jared under the control of the vengeful spirit of his dead father, Louis. The ritual had the unexpected consequence of also causing Jared’s elder sister Vanessa to be possessed as well.
With the two eldest Lefabres under his influence, Xander put the final part of his plan into action. A possessed Jared and Vanessa quickly burned bridges and alienated the people close to them, separating them both from Duncan Walsingham—the man whose skill at intelligence gathering and tactics had kept Xander and Aristotle at bay for five years.
While Duncan, Jaime Seda, Colby and Brock Lefabre confronted the possessed Vanessa at the Le Monde Lefabre offices, Xander took a team of men into the Tsung Mansion where Duncan and his new employer, Kai Tsung Seda, were hiding Jared’s children, Alia and Anthony.
Not wanting Kai to get hurt, the twins surrendered themselves to their mother’s family. Once the twins were secured, Xander made his exit, pausing at the door of the room where a recently exorcised Jared lay sleeping and shot his long-time rival.
With the twins finally in the custody of his grandfather, Jared Lefabre dead by Xander’s hand, and Duncan killed while confronting Vanessa, Xander turned his attention to Yan Tsung’s spirited baby sister, Kai. Intrigued by the strong-willed teenage mafia princess, Xander first taunted her, expecting her to find his innate charm too much to resist. When that failed, Xander, hoping to isolate her, manipulated a sequence of events that helped to drive a wedge between Kai and her husband Jaime and resulted in Kai being arrested for the attempted murder of Belle Whitney.
As that plan unraveled after Belle came clean about lying about misidentifying Kai as the shooter, Xander began to feed information to F.B.I. Agent Iris Stanton, giving her the ammunition she would need to nail the criminal Tsung family.
Kai swiftly deflected the F.B.I.’s attention to her deceased brother, Yan, which infuriated the extend Tsung family. Facing her family’s wrath, Kai has been forced to agree to finally marry Xander, thus giving Xander the prize he’s been after ever since Jared’s death.
After successfully coercing Kai into marriage, hiring Nick Armstrong to kill his grandfather and torment Jessica Lefabre, Xander's victory was short-lived. First, he discovered on his honeymoon that not only was Duncan Walsingham still alive but that his new bride was in cahoots with him. Then, his attempts at taking Colby Lefabre under his wing--and gaining another ally in the Sanctum's inner circle--failed. Then, his co-hort Nadia Dupont tracked down and rescued Belle Whitney-Prescott and, together, the pair blackmailed him into making concessions that Xander found difficult to stomach.
After that, Agents Logan Behr and Iris Stanton confronted him about his feeding Agent Stanton information regarding the deaths of their families solely for the purpose of forcing Kai into marrying him. It was a confrontation that, after having had enough with people disrespecting him, pushed Xander to kidnap Agent Stanton and spirit her out of the country as a prisoner and then blackmail Agent Behr into silence by threatening his partner's life.
However, the final coup de grace would come at a point of perceived victory on Xander's part. Through manipulating his wife, Kai, Paradis managed to turn the new Mrs. Xander Paradis against Duncan by informing her that it was the Englishman who ordered the hits on her father and brother. Enraged, Kai then poisoned Duncan in revenge. However, while he slowly died, Duncan mocked the newlyweds by revealing to Xander that Jared Lefabre was in fact a live, had been kept so on Kai's order, and that he was now awake.
Worried that his arch-nemesis was out plotting against him, Xander--on Kai's suggestion--brought Jared's children Alia and Anthony back to the states with the intent of he and Kai adopting them. However, while Xander and Kai now seem to be working toward the same ends, he still does not trust her. Especially since he has discovered that his wife has been drugging him ever since their honeymoon, causing Xander to lose his sex drive, in an effort to keep from having to sleep with him.
Xander's worries about Jared, eventually came to fruition when Jared successfully located the island where Leo Paradis had been stashed and, as luck would have it, discovered an FBI agent that Xander had kidnapped living on the very same island. Caught, Xander now faces felony charges for kidnapping and wrongfully imprisoning a federal agent and is being held without bail while his 'wife' does little to help him.
