Resting her chin on one of her hands, Caroline idly flipped through the latest stack of face shots from one of her models and sighed. They were dreadful! Every shot looked forced, and in some the model actually looked terrified! Lifting her chin from her hand she pressed the buzzer paging her Secretary. "Cathy, get me the number for the photographer who took these pictures of April!"
"Yes, Ma'am!"
Shaking her head she leaned back in her seat, and pushed the pictures away. Moments later there was a buzz letting her know Cathy was calling her back. "Did you find it?" Caroline asked after pressing the button again.
"Umm.. Not yet Ma'am, but there's an." The was the young of muffled talk for a moment before Cathy's voice came back clearly, "Adrian Young waiting to see you?"
Caroline swore under her breath, because honestly she'd forgotten she'd agreed to meet with him. Something about him interviewing one of the girls or something. "Alright.. Let him in.."
Going up to the door as the secretary motioned for him, Adrian strutted up and smiled at her. Not that he took meetings like this seriously - okay, he really tried - but it was more obligatory than anything else. At least he didn't have to worry about making an impression. He knew he looked good, his suit was damn on point and of course - he was only staying for a moment anyway. A moment was all Adrian needed to make an impression on the one and only Caroline Corwin. Entering the room he gave Caroline a warmer smile. "Caroline, nice to meet you," he greeted as he went over to her desk to shake her hand, a cute smirk on his lips as he drank her in. Damn... no wonder she was such a big model back in her day. She was hot.
Caroline's brow perked a bit as she rose to her feet and leaned a bit over her desk to shake Adrian's hand. "It's nice to meet you too Adrian," She responded flashing him a model perfect smile before promptly sinking back down in her seat. She quickly gathered the photos that were spread out across her desk and shoved them back into their file. Looking back over at him, her gaze casually flickered over him, taking his appearance in. Well he was attractive, and she could see why he did so well on TV. "So, won't you please have a seat?" She finally asked motioning to the seat in front of her desk.
He didn't have to be told twice. Adrian eased into the chair opposite Caroline and her desk. He took the liberty to make himself comfortable in the process, as if he were at home - but not too 'at home'. He had to remain professional, of course. "Thank you. I won't take up much of your time, Miss Corwin. I know you have some photographers somewhere you want to yell at, so I'll be as brief as possible," said Adrian smoothly with a little joke thrown in for good measure. "One of your more... controversial models wants to make an appearance on my show and, well, I wanted to get the green light from you first. I know that her views and opinions do not reflect those of your business or yourself - but I'd hate to have her say something you want my head for."
She leaned back in her seat, her arms draped casually over the arm of her chair. "Oh?" She asked, her interest peaked. "And which model would that be? We have so many of them that are a bit.. How did you put it? Controversial? Hmm yes." She tilted her head a bit to the side, "Would it be Cassie? Or perhaps could it be Claire?" She asked, knowing it had to be one of them. They were never able to stay far from the spotlight, and to be perfectly honest? Caroline was getting more than a bit fed up with both of their antics.
"Claire," said Adrian, refusing to smile after saying her name. She was one hell of a hot one. Hot in a good and bad way and Adrian didn't want to seem like the typical male in front of a woman like Caroline. She could probably smell male chauvinism a mile away. "Her agent insisted that we talk about the behind the scenes aspect of some of her campaigns. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be crossing some sort of invisible line if I did."
"I don't actually care what you ask her." Caroline told him quite honestly. "I do know she'll bring up my agency though, and I'd appreciate it if you'd steer her away from that. She and I.. Well we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things. And I'd prefer the public not know how crude her words can be. Your network would have to bleep out every other word out of her mouth." She flashed him another smile, and leaned forward resting her arms on the desk. "Though I have every confidence that you'll keep her in line. You're very.. Smooth when it comes to your show. I saw the interview you did with one of my other models, Piper Bailey."
"Oh?" She did? Adrian smiled his way out of a stupor. Of course she had. "Piper is one of yours? I didn't know that. Well, I'm glad you have confidence in me. She's a natural herself though. She may as well have been interviewing me. I wouldn't have objected... and Claire! She won't be a problem." Adrian stood. "As long as she's not dropping f-bomb's, it'll be bleeped out, but no one backstage will have a baby." He re-buttoned his blazer and smoothed the front of it. "Thank you for your time, Caroline."
"I'm sure you wouldn't have," Caroline said with a knowing smile. Pushing her chair back, she rose to her feet. "Well I certainly hope she won't be a problem, and if she is, I apologize ahead of time." She extended her hand out to him again, casting him another grin. "It was no problem, good luck with your show."
"Yes, Ma'am!"
